About Me

hello and welcome! i started this blog in August 2012 as a creative outlet for myself while working in Oxford, England. i loved that blogging was something i could do both as a very personal pursuit and also as a means of socialising, albeit virtually, with readers and other bloggers.

i nowΒ live and work in NYC and continue to blog about foods that i love cooking and eating!

if you have any suggestions or comments i’d love to hear from you. i also try to read up on as many food-related blogs as i can, so say hello so that i can come check out your writing too!

Thank you for visiting my blog and liking my post. We have something in common in that I most often ‘wing it’ when it comes to cooking. A little of this and a bit of that….can make it challenging now that I am blogging and need to share specifics. I have been blessed to host 6 or 7 Japanese English as a Second Language Exchange students and a few from Europe, so I look forward to reading what you share here.

Haha yes, I find that winging it doesn’t always go to plan for me, but I love experimenting and I guess I persevere! Thanks for leaving a comment; i’ll be sure to check up on your blog too β€” you’ve featured some really interesting flavour combinations!

Thank you for visiting my blog and liking my Japanese and Vietnamese recipes. I like people who lnot only like food, but like all kinds of food and who share that interest! Come visit me again! Who knows what will be cooking up in the old South meets East kitchen.

Thanks for stopping by to leave a comment, Elizabeth. I started following your blog because it’s such a versatile and creative space; I’ve started out with food, but I would love if I could write more generally on other things that I’m interested in, committed to, in the way that you’ve done.
